It's a BOOK

I have been working on a book for the past 2 years that shares what I've discovered on my personal journey. The book is titled 'Awaken Your Soul'.

It arrived today. Printed. Finished.

It FEELS GREAT!!!

Initially, I didn't believe I could do it. A close friend of mine, Jim Warner, pushed me. He gave me the initial support I needed to get started. Once I got rolling, my wife and kids encouraged me. My YPO group was there every step of the way supporting me. Friends like, Michael, Sharon, Angelo, Tesch, Bryan, Jay, Mike W and others were there cheering me along.

I am deeply grateful to all of you. Without your love and support this book would still be in my computer.

It's incredible what you can accomplish if you believe in yourself and you have people around you who love and support you.

Now I have to figure out how to sell it. Any ideas?

Retreats

I'm in Washington DC and I'm preparing for an all day retreat that will begin tomorrow. I'm sitting here in a Fairfield Inn (in a smoking room - I asked for a non-smoking room, but for whatever reason I sitting here in a room that smells like shit...and it's giving me a headache. The hotel is sold out...no other rooms available...oh well back to my original thought).....I'm sitting here thinking about how much I love to do this work.

In these retreats people take their masks off. They give me a glimpse of who they really are. They share from their hearts, and typically it's the first time they've been willing to open up. I love that connection with people. It's real. They remove the superficial bullshit and show up with all they have to offer....the gifts and the warts.

Most of us don't take the time in our lives to do this type of work. Why is it so hard for us to take the time to reflect? Very rarely do people get together for the purpose of doing 'Soul Work'. Most people are too busy to take the time to improve their lives or they don't know how to do it.

If you want your life to change, take the time to look inside.

The Pesach Experience

My wife, Debbie, has been studying Kabbalah for the past 4 years. It has had an amazing impact on her life. This year I decided to join her for Pesach. There are over 2000 people here today at the Diplomat Hotel in Hollywood Florida celebrating this holiday. I sense an incredible dedication from this group to Kabbalah. They create an infectious, powerful energy as a group.

I’m here, learning, participating, but I’m lost most of the time. I don’t understand it. (I was raised Catholic). I’m inspired by their discipline and commitment to connect to ‘the Light’. I don’t have that level of discipline or commitment to my spiritual path. Basically, I’m lazy when it comes to committing to a spiritual discipline of any kind.

By the way, my cold is going away. I feel a lot better.

Caught a Cold

Got a cold. It's in my head and chest. Coughing, Sneezing.
I feel like shit.
I realize that I take my health for granted. It's times when I'm sick that I appreciate my good health. When I'm feeling good and healthy I take it for granted. I take a lot of stuff in my life for granted.
